In 2008 this new piano duo found its origins in the Organ Parc, Amsterdam. Exploring the sounds of 2 grand pianos, church organs, harmonium, celesta and melodicas.
Wolfert Brederode and Martin Fondse found each other in a parallel world of compositions and improvisations. They combine the lyrical side of Brederode with the rich and layered harmonic approach of Fondse. Tightly organized compositions alongside intuitive improvising, Key Figures reaches from intimate miniatures to a grand orchestral sound. They released the 1st CD in 2011, which received high acclaimed response by the music press.
