Documentary about Composer Laureate Martin Fondse. Followed during his project Faces of Water in the provinces of Zuid-Holland, Zeeland and Noord-Holland. With live concert recordings from Energiehuis, Dordrecht and Festival Wonderfeel.
The film offers a glimpse into Martin’s work as Composer Laureate, a role that takes him travelling to every province. For the documentary, presenter Maartje Goes followed the composer during a number of projects. She spoke with him on his houseboat, on one of the rare days he’s actually home.
The film also includes footage from the educational part of Faces of Water with schoolchildren, as well as a short recording of Martin’s contribution to the benefit concert Alarm Bell for Tigray at Splendor Amsterdam.
